Cinema Nature Meetings

The Rencontres Cinéma-Nature festival (which takes place in Dompierre-sur-Besbre) has become a unique cultural event that questions the relationship between Man and his environment, through a film competition, a photography competition, exhibitions and numerous events, always with this requirement in the subject and the desire to offer the public a unique and shared space-time. The festival is organized by the Cistudes & Compagnie association, in partnership with the René-Fallet cinema and the municipality of Dompierre-sur-Besbre.

The Cistudes & Compagnie association was created in 1989 on the initiative of a group of residents to organize the Rencontres Cinéma-Nature festival. Since then, the association has broadened its field of action and organizes various cultural and social actions at the associative café Le Caquetoire in particular.

Cistudes & Compagnie promotes exchange between residents in order to bring out new initiatives that enhance the attractiveness of the territory, it contributes to improving the quality of life and the economic potential. It promotes local resources and works in partnership with neighboring structures (cultural services, associations, tourist office, etc.). The association also attaches great importance to actions aimed at young audiences.

Each year a Le PAL Nature Foundation prize is awarded to one of the films presented.
